Kvasir was not a god of either the Æsir or Vanir but was created by both of them. He is considered the wisest of all men and a poet. He was born when both group of god performed the ancient peace ritual of spitting into a common vessel. He would always have the right answers to any questions asked of him. He was killed by the two dwarfs Fjalar and Galar who used his blood to form mead that would give wisdom and poetic inspiration to any who drank it. Scented with Blueberry this is what was rumored to have been eaten by the gods and spit into the Vessel to form Kvasir.
